Clara Grabowiecki is an Argentine visual artist, born in Buenos Aires in 1983. She studied in the studio of the prestigious Argentine visual artist Carlos Gorriarena, with whom she deepened her interest in artistic research in color. Her influence can be seen reflected in a radical vision about art that includes a special rigor and commitment in the way of approaching the work. In 2008, she was selected as artist-in-residence of the renowned Takt Berlin Artist Residency, an experience that broadened her creative horizons and fundamentally changed her artistic perspective. In 2016, driven by her curiosity Clara moves to Europe where she has the opportunity to immerse herself in the local art scene and make meaningful connections with other contemporary artists. There she completed the Master in Research in Art and Design at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Throughout her career, she has exhibited her work between Buenos Aires, Berlin, Beijing, Barcelona, Miami and London, in renowned spaces such as the San Martín Cultural Center, the Recoleta Cultural Center, Appetite Contemporary Art, ArteBA, Jardín Oculto, Wir Gallery, Big Sur, Fábrica Escocesa, La Virreina Centro de la Imagen, among others. Her work has been an integral part of notable festivals and exhibitions, such as the LOOP Festival, Visual Brasil and Teorema Festival. Her work has been featured in influential publications such as Diario Clarín, Revista Ramona, Arte al Día, Revista Ulisses and Wicked Mag. In November 2024 Clara presented and A/V Performance in collaboration with the producer Angelo Repetto in Kunsthaus Zurich for Digital Arts Zurich. Also for the Nigth of the Museums in Sion, Switzerland, she presented an audiovisual short film called ¨Une histoire dans une historie¨ produced and supported by Open Air Museum Art Valais in Switzerland. She was selected by the residence for artists Saikoneon in Tokyo, Japan, to develope her work for a month in October 2025. Clara is preparing a solo exhibition for next year at Bernapark Museum, Berna, Switzerland. 

The work of Clara Grabowiecki is a journey into an interior cosmos. Passing through the figurative to the abstract, the images construct cosmologies of the imagination. The human and non-human world interact in interspecies entanglements that spread from dogs to botanical elements and spiral into atomic levels. An interwoven mesh of reality and understanding is threaded through physical and dream-worlds that narrate our infinitely complex interconnectedness. The surface of painting is the arena in which Grabowiecki uses color and form to align vibrational tendencies. The images are recognizable by a confident color palette that does not shy away from tropical tones and metallic glimmers that connected to a collective unconscious of the cultural psyche. The image contains both science-fiction and ancient narratives in a timeless suspension. The space of the mind is represented as a crystalized gesture to truth and purity. The crystal is symbolic of the purity of the soul when matter compresses into transparency.

Clara Grabowiecki es una artista visual argentina, nacida en Buenos Aires en 1983. Estudió en el taller del prestigioso artista visual argentino Carlos Gorriarena, con quien profundizó su interés por la investigación artística del color. Su influencia se refleja en una visión radical del arte, que incluye un rigor y un compromiso especiales en la forma de abordar la obra. En 2008 fue seleccionada como artista en residencia en la reconocida Takt Berlin Artist Residency, una experiencia que amplió sus horizontes creativos y cambió fundamentalmente su perspectiva artística. En 2016, impulsada por su curiosidad, Clara se trasladó a Europa, donde tuvo la oportunidad de sumergirse en la escena artística local y establecer conexiones significativas con otros artistas contemporáneos. Allí completó el Máster en Investigación en Arte y Diseño en la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. A lo largo de su carrera, ha expuesto su obra entre Buenos Aires, Berlín, Pekín, Barcelona, Miami y Londres, en espacios de renombre como el Centro Cultural San Martín, el Centro Cultural Recoleta, Appetite Contemporary Art, ArteBA, Jardín Oculto, Wir Gallery, Big Sur, Fábrica Escocesa, La Virreina Centro de la Imagen, entre otros. Su trabajo ha formado parte de festivales y exposiciones destacadas, como el LOOP Festival, Visual Brasil y el Teorema Festival. Su obra ha sido publicada en medios influyentes como Diario Clarín, Revista Ramona, Arte al Día, Revista Ulisses y Wicked Mag. En noviembre de 2024, Clara presentó una performance audiovisual en colaboración con el productor Angelo Repetto en Kunsthaus Zurich, dentro del marco del Digital Arts Zurich. También, para la Noche de los Museos en Sion, Suiza, presentó el cortometraje audiovisual Une histoire dans une histoire, producido y apoyado por el Open Air Museum Art Valais, en Suiza. Fue seleccionada por la residencia para artistas Saikoneon en Tokio, Japón, para desarrollar su trabajo durante un mes en octubre de 2025. Actualmente, Clara prepara una exposición individual para el próximo año en el Museo Bernapark, en Berna, Suiza.

La obra de Clara Grabowiecki es un viaje hacia un cosmos interior. Transitanto de lo figurativo a lo abstracto, las imágenes construyen cosmologías de la imaginación. El mundo humano y no humano interactúan en enredos interespecies que se extienden desde los perros hasta los elementos botánicos y se expanden hacia niveles atómicos. Una malla entretejida de realidad y comprensión atraviesa los mundos físico y onírico, narrando nuestra infinitamente compleja interconexión. La superficie de la pintura es la arena donde Grabowiecki utiliza el color y la forma para alinear tendencias vibratorias. Las imágenes se reconocen por una paleta cromática segura que no teme a los tonos tropicales ni a los brillos metálicos, conectados con un inconsciente colectivo de la psique cultural. La imagen contiene tanto narrativas de ciencia ficción como relatos antiguos, suspendidos en una atemporalidad. El espacio de la mente se representa como un gesto cristalizado hacia la verdad y la pureza. El cristal es simbólico de la pureza del alma cuando la materia se comprime hasta volverse transparente.
